Our new pond … almost finished, but not quite.

by cjj on March 20, 2011

We have been very busy lately trying to get this project finished. (We started it years ago!!!) We have been out into the paddocks again collecting rocks, and putting them carefully into place to make a dry stone wall surrounding a shallow hole. The hole couldn’t be any deeper because there are too many tree roots in the way.
It will be lined with sand, than black plastic. All the edges will be disguised so the the plastic doesn’t show, and it will have lots of water plants. The still water will reflect the peppercorn tree that is already well established. It will be so nice. I really wanted to simply post a photo of the finished pond, but it is taking too long, and I can’t not post about it because it has been a big part of my life lately.
