Food today

One more blog before I go and have a shower.
Each day is different with the food. Yesterday, because we were going to see the Monet show, we had breakfast at the hotel. 2 floors below ground level, we helped ourselves to croissants, bread and jam, orange juice and coffee. The lady that worked there didn’t turn up till we had nearly finished.
Today though, we skipped breakfast and stopped at a restaurant at about midday. We deliberately chose a place way off the tourist route, and it filled up with local office workers. The food was not too interesting though, we both selected interesting titles off the menu, but Jon’s was a nice sausage and chips, and mine was just grilled steak and chips. We liked them both, and had a delicious apple pie between us for desert. With a demi karafe of wine and deux grande kafe creme. This might be the first meal we haven’t photographed. We always use Jon’s camera though, because mine flashes in low light, and I don’t like that. So photos of food in France will come after we get home.
After our long walk back to the hotel, we were too bugged to go out again, I bought some fruit and a baguette and we had a cup of tea.

Thanks for the pics and stories, Carmel. You’ve seen a lot in your short time.
I checked out your hotel on the map, and I think its a few blocks from where we stayed. We were near the Notre Dame crossing.
